Robert C. Drake Sr. is the Senior Pastor/Teacher of New Covenant Baptist Church. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Pastor Drake is the ninth and youngest child of the Late Rev. & Mrs. Earl W. Drake Sr.; He accepted his call into the preaching ministry in the year of 2006 and was ordained April of 2008. Rev. Drake pastored St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church from May 2008 - December 2015. In October 2016 the call was extended to him from New Covenant Baptist Church to become the Tenth Pastor of New Covenant.

He received his formal education in the Louisville public school system and is a graduate of Kentucky College of Barbering and is a licensed barber at The Bestway Barber Shop in Louisville, Ky. and is currently attending Simmons College of Kentucky. He serves as treasurer for the Interdenominational Ministerial Coalition and Chairman of Religious Affairs of the Louisville Branch of the NAACP.

He is most proud of the spiritual guidance he receives from his pastor & friend Rev. Phillip Hodge, pastor of Fifth Street Baptist Church Louisville, Ky. & Rev. Thurmond L. Coleman Sr., Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown. Pastor Drake believes that if it had not been for the Lord on his side, he never would have made it. He knows that it is by God’s Grace that he is what he is and where he is today, and holds fast to his belief that God isn’t through with him yet, and the best is yet to come.

Pastor Drake is married to the former Deirdre L. Robbins and they have two daughters Kirsten & Orien, two sons Robert Jr. & Orville (Trey) and three grandchildren Khadin, Kaleb and Karsyn.
